Can I eat this gum……?

So I recently bought tangy tropical hubba bubba gum (you know the packages the come in? It’s kind of like a tape dispenser) well I left it in my moms car for about 1 and a half weeks I left it in that pocket thing that is on the back of the seat. My mom said go get it and it didn’t melt (it could have but I woudnt know) it still looks normal but the gum did get a little harder. It was softer when I purchased it…. Can I still eat it? I only ripped one 6 inch piece of gum since I got it so it’s still fairly new. Oh and keep in Mind it’s summer here.
