Record Album
How can I record a covers album?
I am a guitarist and I just wanna know how can I record a covers album. For example, to cover some songs from my favourite artists. Another question would be, how can I sell it? If on the album are only covers, and not my original compositions, is it possible to sell it? Or do I need some rights? Tell me how this type of album can be produced!
Without having to pay royalties I’m not quite sure.
You can do live covers without worrying about royalties and copyright, but I’m not sure about recording.
I THINK if you go about doing it in low-fi live recordings then it won’t draw huge attention to it from mega record labels and you should be clear.
